Description
The Star of Chicago sightseeing boat passes underneath the historic Michigan Avenue DuSable Bridge on a chilly Spring day in Chicago, Illinois. The DuSable Bridge, completed in 1920, is a double decker bascule drawbridge, carrying two levels of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, across the main stem of the Chicago River. This shot looks northward from the south side of the river. The far side of the bridge at street level marks the beginning of Chicago's famed Magnificent Mile shopping district.
