Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) can be highly territorial, and it's not uncommon to see one chase another one away, especially during Spring when pairs break away from the flock. In this case, the chase went on for perhaps 15 to 20 yards before the pursuer was satisfied, and a fight was avoided.

Welcome to my library of photos on FineArtAmerica and Pixels.com. After six years as a Chicago area transplant living in East Central Michigan, I returned in 2022 to to a new home in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs. I enjoyed my time in Michigan, where I had the opportunity to photograph local wildlife, especially the birds and waterfowl in State Parks and preserves that were near my home. But I’m now also enjoying the opportunity to explore the environs near my new location. Indeed, I see beauty and interesting things to photograph almost everywhere that I go.
