Artist's Description
This 1950 Ford was parked at Pete's Gas Station and Museum in Williams, Arizona, when my wife and I made a brief stop there during a road trip.
In 1984, the small town of Williams was one of the last of the many communities on historic U.S. Route 66 to be bypassed by the modern Interstate Highway system. The town still maintains a strip of of the old "Mother Road" today, with lots of shops and establishments intended to keep the nostalgia alive.
I have processed this photo in a heavily textured style in keeping with the vintage look and feel of the location and the subject.

Welcome to my library of photos on FineArtAmerica and Pixels.com. After six years as a Chicago area transplant living in East Central Michigan, I returned in 2022 to to a new home in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs. I enjoyed my time in Michigan, where I had the opportunity to photograph local wildlife, especially the birds and waterfowl in State Parks and preserves that were near my home. But I’m now also enjoying the opportunity to explore the environs near my new location. Indeed, I see beauty and interesting things to photograph almost everywhere that I go.
