Artist's Description
A local landmark and tourist attraction, the Holz Brucke is a 239-foot, 230-ton wooden covered bridge built in 1979 that spans the Cass River in Frankenmuth, Michigan. This image was captured on a cold January night; a dusting of snow can be seen on the walkways and grasses around the base of the bridge. Frankenmuth is a Bavarian themed town of about 5,000 in east central Michigan, USA.

Welcome to my library of photos on FineArtAmerica and Pixels.com. After six years as a Chicago area transplant living in East Central Michigan, I returned in 2022 to to a new home in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs. I enjoyed my time in Michigan, where I had the opportunity to photograph local wildlife, especially the birds and waterfowl in State Parks and preserves that were near my home. But I’m now also enjoying the opportunity to explore the environs near my new location. Indeed, I see beauty and interesting things to photograph almost everywhere that I go.
