This photo of the Chicago skyline was taken from the Fullerton Park area on Lake Michigan along Chicago's north shore during the frigid winter of 2014-2015. Temperatures in February that season, when this photo was taken, averaged 14.6 degrees Fahrenheit, tying a 140-year-old record for the coldest February ever in the city.

Welcome to my library of photos on FineArtAmerica and Pixels.com. After six years as a Chicago area transplant living in East Central Michigan, I returned in 2022 to to a new home in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs. I enjoyed my time in Michigan, where I had the opportunity to photograph local wildlife, especially the birds and waterfowl in State Parks and preserves that were near my home. But I’m now also enjoying the opportunity to explore the environs near my new location. Indeed, I see beauty and interesting things to photograph almost everywhere that I go.
