Description
Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. It is one of Canada's most photographed lakes; a view of it even appeared on the 1969 and 1979 issues of the Canadian twenty dollar bill. The lake is noted for its distinctive blue-green color, caused by refraction of light off the glacial "rock flour," or silt, in the water.

Most interesting composition, Wes. I like how the warmer valley lake with its' color boats on the dock and calm water, is in stark contrast to the distant snow-covered frigged peaks. So Surreal..! Well done, Sir - FAV
